About the Role
At Hitachi Energy, our purpose is to advance a sustainable energy future for all. We bring power to our homes, schools, hospitals, and factories. As a substation automation tendering specialist, you will be part of our Grid Automation Europe tendering team within the Hitachi Energy Group. The tendering organization is truly international and located in various locations across Europe.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you are responsible for leading tenders from initial request to contract closing and handover to operations. Your key activities will include:
- Creating commercially, legally, and technically optimized and high-quality offers based on the specifications of our customers.
- Defining the scope of supply to be offered.
- Closely cooperating with supply chain management to solicit quotations from subcontractors.
- Calculating costs, determining margins, and setting sales prices in cooperation with sales.
- Planning and submitting tenders on time.
- Providing technical support to sales during early pursuit stages and supporting contract negotiations.
- Preparing tender documents and reports for internal risk reviews and tender submission approvals.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A higher education degree in electrical engineering or a similar field.
- A very good understanding of substation automation, control, and protection solutions.
- A good knowledge of the grid automation market.
- Previous professional experience and a good track record within a similar business area.
- Experience in tendering and commercial processes would be an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Norwegian.
- A willingness to travel and attend customer meetings, up to 10%.
