PhD Candidate in Human-Centric Future Skills in Manufacturing

Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU) is seeking a PhD candidate to join its Production Management research group. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of human-centric AI methodologies, focusing on the necessary skills and training for future factories.
Key Responsibilities- Apply qualitative and quantitative methodologies to gain insight into human-AI and advanced technologies symbiosis.
- Develop methodologies and knowledge on human-centric design for manufacturing environments.
- Collaborate with European partners, policy makers, and companies to identify and address challenges in human-centric manufacturing.
- Participate in the mandatory PhD research education program and conduct independent research.
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong academic background and average grade of B or better.
- Experience in using qualitative methodologies with a human-centric approach.
- Excellent written and oral English language skills.
- Scandinavian or other European language skills.
- Previous experience in human factors or human-centric approaches.
- Knowledge of European and Norwegian manufacturing industrial procedures, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hardworking and driven individual with a modest and open attitude.
- Exciting and stimulating tasks in a strong international academic environment.
