Role Overview

As a Civil Consultant - Team Lead, we are in search of a skilled, self-motivated, and dedicated professional. This is a contractual role.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Preparation: Ensure that the project site is adequately prepared for construction activities. This includes coordinating tasks such as site clearance, leveling, and soil testing to establish a solid foundation for the solar facility.

Construction Oversight: Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and safety standards. Monitor construction progress, resolve any arising issues, and adjust the construction plan as necessary.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance protocols to ensure that all civil works adhere to the required standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and tests to confirm compliance and promptly address any deficiencies.

Material Coordination: Collaborate with the EPC contractor for the delivery and storage of construction materials essential for civil works. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure the availability of materials as needed.

Contractor Oversight: Manage and supervise the activities of contractors and subcontractors involved in civil construction. Provide guidance and support to contractors while monitoring their performance to ensure timely task completion.

Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and guidelines throughout all construction activities. Conduct regular safety inspections, promote a safety-oriented culture among workers, and take necessary actions to mitigate potential risks.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain precise records of construction activities, including daily progress reports, material usage, and any incidents or delays. Prepare regular reports summarizing the project's status and communicate updates effectively.

Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders, such as electrical engineers and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of civil construction activities with other project components.

Problem Resolution: Identify and address any challenges that arise during the construction phase. Analyze issues, propose solutions, and coordinate with relevant parties to implement corrective measures.

Qualifications:

We seek experienced professionals with the following qualifications:

  • BE/Diploma in Civil Engineering with over 10 years of experience in site civil works.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Civil Site In-charge on a solar project at a megawatt scale.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality technical reports within set deadlines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; familiarity with STAAD Pro is an added advantage.
  • Competent in using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • Well-versed in civil engineering standards and codes.
