Job Summary

Oceaneering is seeking a Finance Project Analyst to support our team in Stavanger, Norway.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate management information and supporting Operations' financial requirements.

The position is located at Forus, Stavanger.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing monthly internal and external reporting
  • Support Project Managers and project teams in analyzing profitability
  • Provide customer reporting requirements on programs as needed
  • Support the Financial Project Manager in developing short-term and long-term plans, as well as rolling forecasts for projects and programs
  • Record forecast and free cash flow at the project level
  • Prepare project close entries and make necessary adjustments to data entry errors
  • Assist in bid review preparation and development
  • Support variance analysis and reconciliations
  • Support asset management and customer collection
  • Assist the regional finance lead in external SOX compliance and testing, as well as external regulatory reporting and compliance
  • Help drive implementation of financial standards in the organization
  • Support UAT testing
  • Support tax reporting requirements
  • Other duties as assigned, including responsibilities outlined in the RASCI model related to your area of work
  • Travel to sites as needed to understand the work being done

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 0-6 years of relevant experience; graduates are welcome to apply
  • Understanding of cost accounting principles and the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
  • Understanding of modeling concepts
  • Able to view the big picture with a good grasp for details

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with reporting under local statutory reporting requirements
  • Working knowledge of current ERP system
  • International experience is a plus
