Your New Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Energy department as our new Senior Engineering Manager. As a key member of our team, you will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to ensure delivery of a design solution in line with customer expectations (quality, time, and cost) and Ramboll requirements and best practices. Your key responsibilities will include leading a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet project objectives, managing technical requirements and engineering scope of work, and managing technical interfaces between engineering disciplines (internal/external).

Your Key Responsibilities

As our new Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

  1. Leading a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet project objectives.
  2. Managing technical requirements and engineering scope of work.
  3. Managing technical interfaces between engineering disciplines (internal/external).
  4. Supporting the project manager in ensuring that the project activities are planned and executed.
  5. Planning and leading interdisciplinary design meetings and design reviews.
  6. Promoting the exploration and development of opportunities to improve the sustainability of the solution, in line with customer requirements.
  7. Identifying and managing changes to the design and/or scope of work in collaboration with the Project Manager and/or Change Manager.
  8. Actively supporting our business development function in client meetings and tender preparation.
  9. Managing and leading technical discussions with the client.
  10. Managing the external design approval process, if required.
  11. Supporting competence development of the design team.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in managing and leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in energy projects. You will have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in related disciplines or equivalent, and a minimum of 10+ years of experience in this field. You will also have strong multidiscipline system knowledge, good team communication skills, and the ability to delegate. Additionally, you will have a proactive attitude, a structured and analytical mindset, and good English and Scandinavian language skills – both verbal and written. Residence in Norway is also a requirement.
