About the Role
The Senior Purchaser will be responsible for managing and coordinating all purchasing-related activities for tenders and projects within the Generation & Transmission business group. This includes ensuring quality and safety during project execution, preparing and evaluating offers, and establishing and maintaining procurement plans according to Nexans standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support tenders and projects on all purchasing-related tasks
- Prepare and evaluate offers to be presented and discussed with the tender/project team
- Ensure high-quality delivery, efficient project execution, and minimum variations and claims by closely following up on internal stakeholders, suppliers, contracts, and deliveries
- Establish and maintain Procurement Plans according to Nexans Standards
- Provide necessary inputs to the monthly reporting
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain or extensive experience with large marine operations subcontracts and eagerness to learn the purchasing part
- 5 years working in a project setting
- 3 years of relevant procurement and purchasing experience
- Proactive and eager to learn and improve
- Strong collaboration skills and effective communication are of utmost importance
- Fluent in English – oral and written; Norwegian is a plus
