About the Role

This postdoctoral fellowship offers a unique opportunity to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment that combines computational physics, machine learning, neuroscience, and gene technology. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop new models that combine aspects from physics, computer science, AI, and neuroscience.

The postdoc will work closely with the experimental team to design gene therapy constructs and validate them in vitro and in vivo. They will also be responsible for contributing to the development of machine learning models for the construction of constructs and capsids.

The research focuses on understanding and explaining successful machine learning methods through mechanistic interpretability of neural networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop machine learning models for gene therapy constructs and capsids
  • Contribute to the development of novel machine learning approaches
  • Work closely with the experimental team to design and validate gene therapy constructs
  • Apply mechanistic interpretability of neural networks to understand and explain successful machine learning methods
