The Norwegian University of Science and Technology is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team in Thermodynamics and Porous Media Science. Job DescriptionThis postdoctoral position is part of PoreLab, a Norwegian Center of Excellence created in 2017, located at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, and the University of Oslo (UiO). Our center focuses on advancing the understanding of flow in porous media through interdisciplinary research in theory, computer simulations, and experiments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct innovative research in thermodynamics and porous media science, pushing the boundaries of current knowledge and contributing to the development of new theories, principles, and tools.
- Collaborate with researchers from various departments to achieve the objectives of Research Theme 8, which aims to apply knowledge from previous research themes to design more efficient electrochemical systems, describe moisture migration in insulation materials, enhance biological systems understanding, and study porous materials for hydrogen transport and storage.
- Publish research findings in international scientific journals and present results at conferences.
- A PhD degree in thermodynamics or a relevant area, completed at a Norwegian university or equivalent foreign institution.
- Experience in programming and excellent written and oral skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Interest in porous media science and experience in related research areas.
