PhD Researcher in Ammonia-Water Thermodynamics

About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The successful candidate will work on the thermodynamics of ammonia-water mixtures, with a focus on understanding the interfacial dynamics and thermo-physical properties.
The position is available for 3 years, with possible extension due to teaching. As a PhD researcher, you will have the opportunity to work on a challenging project that combines theoretical and experimental approaches.
Your research will involve working with equations of state, classical density functional theory, and molecular simulation. You will also be expected to write academic papers and submit them to international scientific journals, as well as participate in international conferences.
To be eligible for this position, you must have a professionally relevant background and a strong academic record. Master's degree holders who expect to complete their studies by summer 2024 are encouraged to apply. Employment will then be postponed until the Master's degree is finished.
Excellent written and oral skills in English are required. Experience with programming and a good understanding of thermodynamics are considered an advantage.

The appointment is made in accordance with NTNU's Regulations on terms of employment for employees at NTNU. Salary is NOK 532,200 per annum, depending on qualifications and seniority, before tax, plus benefits including pension scheme.
