Postdoctoral Researcher in Urban Building Energy Modelling

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Department of Architecture and Technology, Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU). The successful candidate will contribute to the development of socioeconomic technology pathways for selected cities, focusing on upgrading their building stock to reduce energy use and carbon emissions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on urban building energy simulation tools and standards.
- Develop and apply integrated energy design of zero emission/energy buildings.
- Participate in research projects and collaborate with international partners.
- Manage project meetings and reporting activities with minimal supervision.
- Apply analytical and computational capabilities to evaluate building performance and environmental impact.
- Ph.D. in Sustainable Architecture, Building Physics, or a related field.
- Strong academic background and research experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Experience with energy use in buildings, integrated energy design, and building performance simulation.
- Completed courses in energy use in buildings, integrated energy design, and building performance simulation.
- Experience with collaborative research projects and project development.
- Teaching and guidance experience in environmental sustainability and building performance simulation.
- GIS experience for spatial data analysis.
- Strong motivation and dedication to research and development.
- Motivated to solve environmental problems and advance sustainability.
- Ability to work in a team and take initiative in collaborative projects.
