Postdoctoral Researcher in Urban Building Energy Modelling

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The successful candidate will contribute to the development of socioeconomic technology pathways for selected Norwegian and US cities, focusing on upgrading their local building stock to reduce energy use and carbon emissions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on urban building energy simulation tools and standards.
- Develop new models for retrofitting buildings and estimating costs.
- Collaborate with international partners and researchers.
- Contribute to the development of guidance for local governments on incentives needed to speed up the transition of the built environment.
- PhD in Sustainable Architecture, Building Physics, or a relevant field.
- Experience in research projects and international collaborations.
- Strong academic background and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of energy use in buildings, integrated energy design, and building performance simulation.
- Strong motivation and dedication to research and development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
