
Mental Health Researcher

We are looking for a highly skilled researcher to join our team at the Department of Psychology. As a researcher in our department, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects examining antecedents of migrant adaptation to living in receiving societies and examining inequalities in mental health and mechanisms that lead to social marginalization.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for analyzing large databases of primary studies on cross-cultural adaptation, using large-scale survey data and register data to examine underlying causes for social inequality in mental health. You will also work on projects examining time patterns of migrant well-being and social adjustment within receiving societies, as well as complex marginalization processes unfolding from adolescence into midlife.
The position is dependent on external funding and the length of employment may be extended if funding for an extension is available. You will be part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary work environment, with ample opportunities for scientific and social input throughout the academic year.
Requirements- Master's degree in social sciences with a focus on migration and ethnic relations.
- In-depth understanding of advanced statistics and strong computing skills in Mplus and/or R.
- Strong skills in longitudinal data analyses and structural equation modeling, including growth curves, random intercept cross-lagged panel models, and latent class analysis.
- Experience with working with large scale datasets and literature reviews or meta-analyses.
