Postdoctoral Researcher in Distributed Acoustic Sensing and 3D Applications

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at Byggmakker Norge AS. The successful candidate will work on innovative research in the field of Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and its applications to 3D mapping of the near subsurface.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct cutting-edge research in DAS and 3D imaging, focusing on novel applications in the field of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) monitoring and offshore windfarm geotechnical assessments.
- Develop new methods for combining passive and active data, as well as investigate state-of-the-art full-waveform-based approaches to infer subsurface model information from such data.
- Collaborate with industry partners and research institutes to develop innovative concepts and solutions.
- Present research findings at national and international seminars and conferences.
- PhD in geophysics, mathematics, signal processing, or a related field.
- Strong background in physics and mathematics, with a good grounding in geophysics, remote sensing, and data analysis.
- Excellent programming skills, with experience in scientific programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.
- Good knowledge of various sensing methods and their applications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
- Experience in DAS and 3D imaging research.
- Knowledge of machine learning and data analysis techniques.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
