About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled National Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Kuehne+Nagel. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) standard.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, with a special focus on food safety and workplace health and safety.
  2. Audit and Assessment: Perform internal and supplier audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Support and Implementation: Support risk management and implementation of mitigation strategies to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  4. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with legal requirements and certified standards, including ISO certifications related to health, safety, and environmental management.
  5. Collaboration and Communication: Support the Health and Safety as well as the Food Safety organization, and effectively communicate with various internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Relevant degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, and 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to logistics, energy sector, warehouse management, manufacturing, production, QSHE, or FMCG.
  2. Skills and Certifications: Strong understanding of health, safety, and/or food safety standards, experience in performing internal audits and supplier/customer satisfaction audits, and certification as a quality/lead auditor.
  3. Organizational and Communication Skills: Excellent organizational and document management skills, and effective communication and interpersonal skills to support and coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders.
