Summa Equity is looking for a Compliance Manager

As a Compliance Manager in Summa Equity ("Summa"), you oversee and assist in ensuring Summa's policiesand standards follow the required rules and regulations. You will also proactively developcompliance programs to ensure all parts of the company follows relevant regulations. Thisrole will give you the opportunity to work in a growing team to help set, develop and carry outcompliance matters that aim at ensuring Summa's practices minimize financial and legalrisks.

The role
As a Compliance Manager you will be responsible for risk and compliance related issues
from a first line of defense point of view. The role is a permanent position in Summa's legalteam, reporting to the General Counsel & CEO, based in our Stockholm office.
Areas of responsibilities include:

  • Continously monitoring and ensuring internal policies and procedures are maintained, follwed and documented.
  • Supporting the business in the creation and development of the company's internalregulations, procedures, and practices
  • Monitoring and analyzing new legislation and regulation
  • Planning board meetings and report the compliance status to the board
  • Acting point of contact for the company's external Compliance Officer, Risk Manager, and internal auditor
  • Training co-workers in the application of new regulation and help the businessimplement new regulation
  • Performing risk and compliance checks in the first line of defense
  • Implementing changes in internal policies, procedures, and practices advised by the Compliance function, Risk function and the internal auditor
  • Assisting the company's Finance department and investment team in regulatormatters

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a lawyer with a strong business mindset, good working knowledge of
compliance and legal matters and a genuine interest in finance and investments as well as:

  • A law degree from a Nordic or Common Law jurisdiction~3-5 years of experience from a similar role, preferably from a regulated business or a company within the finance sector

    • Full professional proficiency of Swedish and English
    • A high level of integrity and ability to work independently, as well as excellent social skills and team working capabilities.
    • Previous experience from AIFM related matters and private equity is a strong merit.
