Innovation Norway is the Norwegian government's key actor in supporting business development and innovation. We offer capital and expertise to help ideas and businesses grow and develop. With offices in every region in Norway and 24 countries around the world, we connect Norwegian solutions to the international market and partners.

Our international offices support Norwegian businesses in assessing risk, scaling up, and taking advantage of the global appetite for Norwegian products and services. We provide advice on opportunities and exposure to a diverse range of stakeholders and networks both nationally and internationally.

The offices are an integral part of Team Norway, which includes partners such as the Norwegian embassies, the Norwegian Seafood Council, and the Chamber of Commerce. • Provide practical assistance when the office is organizing trade fairs, business conferences, networking events, and executive visiting programs.
  • Collect and analyze data for customers and partners.
  • Perform ad-hoc practical and administrative office tasks.
  • Prepare news scans and other thematic reports.
  • Monitor EU policy and programs with a business focus, including the Green Deal, Fit for 55, RepowerEU, the EU's industrial strategy, and the taxonomy.
  • Focus on opportunities for Norwegian exports and value creation.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the commercial drivers of trade and investment.
  • International experience.
  • Ability to process large amounts of information.
  • Relevant experience or a strong interest in one or more of the main focus areas of our offices abroad.

Qualifications:

  • Eligible for Erasmus+ Grants.
  • Candidates must be part of a student program (Bachelor/Master) at a Norwegian university, preferably in Social Sciences (European Studies, Political Economy, Comparative Politics, Political Science), Engineering (green and digital industries), etc.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English. Proficiency in the local language of the desired office location is an advantage.

Desired Personal Skills:

  • Effective communicator and good interpersonal skills.
  • Dedicated team player and service-minded.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A self-starter, able to produce results and manage own time in an effective manner.
  • Flexible - the role will require an ability to work in many different areas, sometimes simultaneously.

Funding during the internship:

  • Innovation Norway will cover travel costs (return trip) between Norway and the relevant office location.
  • Innovation Norway will provide a grant of NOK 6000/month during the internship.
  • Interns must qualify for Erasmus+ grants.
