
Senior Research Scientist in Biophysics and Soft Matter

At the Department of Chemistry, University of Oslo, we are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious PhD Research Fellow to work on a cutting-edge project within the CLIMB Doctoral Network. This project focuses on studying the complex interplay between lipid composition, structural properties, and membrane-driven interactions.
The research will involve designing and preparing model systems, such as lipid-based vesicles and nanoparticles, performing scattering experiments at major facilities, and contributing to simulations and quantitative data modeling. Collaboration with other PhD students and principal investigators within the network is essential.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in biophysics, soft matter chemistry, or related fields. Experience in X-ray/neutron scattering techniques and associated data modeling is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a cross-disciplinary team are also required.
