Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Industry Growth Plans: Create and execute industry growth plans to achieve budgets and goals, ensuring coordination with local sales organizations and regional sales initiatives.
  • Business Analysis and Strategy: Analyze business trends, such as bookings, market participation, run rates, and quote conversion rates, and propose corrective strategies where applicable.
  • Customer and Market Dynamics: Understand customer and market dynamics, analyze oil & gas industry needs and trends, identify application opportunities, and relevant solutions.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Observe competitive activities, gather competitor information, and provide feedback to management to inform competitive profiles and strategic planning.
  • Product Development and Training: Provide input to Marketing, Engineering, and Sales regarding customer needs for new product development, service, or training offerings.
  • Sales Effectiveness: Improve sales effectiveness in the industry through sharing knowledge and success stories, developing effective sales tools, and enhancing communications across project/account teams.
  • System Design and Expertise: Develop proficiencies in system design and act as a Global Subject Matter Expert in this area.
  • Data Analysis and Growth Opportunities: Maintain overviews of industry target clusters and mine data to define growth opportunities.
Field Sales Support and Project Pursuits
  • Project Pursuits: Participate actively in project pursuits from pre-conceptual through bidding and execution phases.
  • System Design and Specifications: Prepare and deliver system functional design specifications to customers and engineering contractors.
  • Customer Presentations: Present customer benefits and differentiation messages of products and solutions to customers at all levels in assigned industries.
  • Account Growth and Collaboration: Support account leaders to grow the corrosion business, including developing end-user preferences and technology acceptance, and collaborating with worldwide internal teams, end-user customer teams, engineering contractors, and third-party technology providers for identified applications.
Specialist Support and Consultative Selling
  • Industry Expertise: Provide industry and application expertise to the sales channel and customers.
  • Product and Application Training: Deliver product and application training to customers (internal and external) as required.
  • Customer Problem-Solving: Assess customer requirements and problems and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • Project Execution: Work with the Project Management Office to ensure consistent project execution.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Technical bachelor's degree required, with at least 7 years of work experience in sales, service, or marketing from chemical, renewable, or oil & gas industries.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of digital transformation strategies and work practices, including underlying technology enablers like wireless, cybersecurity, industrial integration, and protocols.
  • Communication and Influencing Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work in a matrix organization with strong influencing skills.
  • Language Skills: Proficient English language skills, verbal, reading, and writing.
  • Project Pursuit Experience: Extensive experience in project pursuit processes from a sales and technical perspective.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or Equivalent Experience: Master's or equivalent experience in engineering.
