Job Title: Portfolio Manager

Statkraft is seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Manager to join our Origination team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the existing team with your individual strengths and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the business and various departments across the business to provide daily pricing advice, forecasting, and support regarding standard pricing and special conditions.
  • Build and maintain Statkraft's power market portfolio, focusing on PJM markets initially.
  • Collaborate with originators for new deal origination, structuring, and pricing.
  • Develop a comprehensive view of relevant environmental markets, including risks related to managing an intermittent renewable portfolio.
  • Optimize the value of the US portfolio in the long-/mid- and short-term markets via OTC and screen trading.
  • Work closely with existing portfolio managers to identify cross-commodity opportunities and risks.
  • Improve modelling tools and optimization approach, shaping the set-up of state-of-the-art portfolio management infrastructure and procedures.
  • Interact with credit, operations, and trading teams to advance transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with proprietary trading teams.
  • Assess and translate competition, industry trends, emerging customer challenges, and changes in the marketplace into market strategies and product offerings.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience within renewable energy, energy trading, or a related field.
  • Strong fundamental analysis, risk management, and market pricing experience.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with experience pricing structured, non-standard contracts in power markets.
  • High degree of analytical thinking and problem-solving.
