Job SummaryThe Senior Technical Delivery Engineer will work within the EMEA Operations Team to provide focused technical expertise to EMEA Customers and Operations teams across Mavenir product portfolio and deployments. This role will provide the technical interface to other teams both external and within the organisation, ensuring an effective flow of information between the teams within operations and facilitating knowledge transfer.

The engineer will need to be technically EPC/5GC/NFV/Kubernetes experienced, able to assimilate new concepts quickly, and prepared to work in situations where they are learning as they work. They must be good at dealing with peers, other teams within the Mavenir organisation, and the customer's technical staff (including good customer-facing hard and soft skills).

This is a hands-on technical role including deployment, integration, trouble shooting, and issue resolution. In-depth understanding of the Telecom Protocols and technologies like HTTP2, NGAP, DIAMETER, GTP, S1AP are required.

The engineer will need to be able to work under pressure to complete work to tight time constraints or meet the needs of the customer. Also, needs to be able to understand the business context of the project being delivered.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish strong R&D relationships and act as the key Project to R&D interface
  2. Working with the customer technical staff to deploy and integrate the systems into the customer network and support the customer's testing
  3. Running the designated acceptance testing with the customer to verify that the product is working as specified
  4. Continue to improve your coding knowledge be able to investigate the issues thoroughly before escalating to R&D
  5. Demonstrate continuous process improvement and participate in lessons learnt activity once the project is closed
  6. Use the provided test tools to capture and investigate the logs required by R&D
  7. Communicating with customers to establish details of problems/requirements
  8. Remaining focused on the project timelines throughout the project to ensure key milestones remain on track
  9. Prepare project-related documentations like Method of Procedures (MOP) and also participate in MOP reviews to ensure right first time
  10. Know who to reach out to in R&D Release Management and R&D Engineering to ensure customer queries are resolved quickly
  11. Escalate to the Technical Operations Lead any critical blocking items which require their attention
  12. Assist support teams when required to execute upgrades
  13. Review and update all bug tracking system entries to ensure R&D have accurate data
  14. Participate in the work streams to improve the product debug capabilities
  15. Provide technical support and coaching to EMEA Support Teams
  16. Provide Tier3 level support during outages for the projects that you were involved with
Job Requirements
  1. Good experience working with UNIX (Solaris or Redhat Linux)
  2. Proven UNIX System Administration skills
  3. Good coding experience
  4. Experience of installing, upgrading and configuring computer hardware and software
  5. Knowledge of mobile networks
  6. Good understanding of software engineering principles
  7. Experience working with 5GC SA/NSA protocols and architecture
  8. Experience working with 4G EPC (PGW/SGW/MME/PCRF) products and architecture
  9. Full understanding of the NFV (RedHat or VMWare or Wind River)
  10. Able to troubleshoot the issues faced in the above-mentioned environments
  11. Experience working with HP and Dell platforms is a plus
  12. Experience working on the VMWare or KVM based virtualization is a plus
  13. Experience working with IP networks is a plus
  14. vIMS or vRAN knowledge is a plus
