The Role

Our client, a cutting-edge IT innovator, is committed to excellence and pioneering technology. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme Manager to join their dynamic team. As this Programme Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the successful delivery of critical IT projects and initiatives.

Your key responsibilities will include planning, implementing, and monitoring the progress of strategic IT projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion, staying within scope, and adhering to budget. Your leadership and strategic acumen will be instrumental in driving project success and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute IT projects in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional teams, promoting innovation and collaboration.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Evaluate and assess projects to drive continuous improvement and uphold quality standards.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning within the project team.

Ideal Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in IT, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex IT projects from inception to completion.

They should possess proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA). Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to influence and motivate teams. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, are also required.

PMP certification or equivalent is preferred. Experience in telecommunications or managed services industry is advantageous.

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum based on experience and location.
