About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer to join our team as a key member in creating best-in-class documentation for our APIs, tools, and products. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a documentation strategy that aligns with our company goals and product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a documentation strategy that supports the company's goals and product lifecycle.
  • Take ownership of complex documentation projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Create technical content tailored to specific personas, including developers (API guides, SDK documentation, code samples based on use cases) and partners (integration guides, workflows).
  • Collaborate with API developers to create comprehensive and intuitive API documentation, including endpoint details, example requests and responses, and usage scenarios.
  • Evaluate and ensure all documentation meets quality standards, aligning with user groups' workflows and challenges while maintaining consistency in tone, style, and terminology.
  • IDentify and prioritize documentation needs in collaboration with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Designers, etc.
  • Analyze analytics and customer feedback to refine and optimize documentation and improve its effectiveness.
  • Explore innovative ways to present content, such as video tutorials, interactive API sandboxes, and dynamic code examples.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with SaaS products and concepts like APIs, cloud computing, and DevOps.
  • Good understanding of API concepts, including REST, GraphQL, OAuth, and webhooks.
  • Proficiency with tools like Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, and Git-based workflows.
  • A basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and the ability to read code is a plus.
  • Basic testing and bug hunting skills to ensure content accuracy and usability.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, English, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the SaaS industry or a related technical field.
  • Proven track record of creating adequate documentation for complex software products.
