Airport Services Duty Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Airport Services Duty Officer to join our team at Qatar Airways Group. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of flights.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Flight Handling and Operations: Supervise and control flight-handling activities such as flight editing, check-in, transfers, and boarding to ensure a high service standard.
  2. Customer Satisfaction: Achieve optimum customer satisfaction and on-time departure of flights.
  3. Shift Management: Have overall control of the shift as a direct representative of the Airport Services Manager, ensuring punctuality and safety of all Qatar Airways operations.
  4. Manpower Management: Manage and control manpower on the shift to optimize utilization and maintain staff morale and discipline.
  5. Resource Allocation: Ensure proper allocation of manpower and resources in the airport operations.
  6. Quality Control: Complete checks to ensure adequate standards are maintained.
  7. Customer Resolution: Resolve customer problems and complaints while on duty and work with all departments to provide resolutions for complaint handling.
  8. Ramp Handling: Facilitate ramp handling activities in liaison with GHA, Caterers, Fueling, Maintenance, Cargo, and Crew to expedite departure.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in an airline or reputed Ground Handling Operations at supervisory level.
  2. Airport Operations Background: Strong background in Airport or GHA Operations.
  3. Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of Conditions of Carriage, International Civil Aviation Safety and Security Procedures in accordance with ICAO and IATA.
  4. Airport Functions: Overall knowledge of airport functions within passenger and baggage handling, weight and balance, and dangerous goods regulations.
  5. Customer Focus: Excellent customer focus and service delivery.

Candidates must have the legal rights to live and work in Norway to be considered for this role.
