We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Transformer Service Operations expert to join our team at Hitachi Energy. As a key member of our Transformer Global Team, you will play a critical role in supporting and leading Research and Development projects related to Transformer Service Operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement standardization projects to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Design and propose new operational concepts for transformer services, and simulate their expected performance in real-world pilots.
- Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new and existing transformer services.
- Create and maintain standard policies, instructions, and training materials to ensure the effective implementation of targeted processes.
- Provide support and guidance to team members and local units as needed.
- Participate in and assist with complex operations activities, collaborating with scientists, technology managers, and engineers from various global teams.
- MSc education in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- More than 10 years of experience in Power Transformers operations.
- Experience in transformer service portfolio within a multinational environment is highly valued.
- Ability to use effective methodologies for knowledge and experience capture.
- Strong technical and operational documentation, training instruction, and communication skills.
- Spirit of innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- High level of self-motivation and a collaborative approach.
- Fluent spoken and written English; other languages are an advantage.
