Strategic Business Development Leader

Your Role
In the capacity of Business Development Manager within our Bioenergy and Power-Generation division, you will take on a pivotal, client-facing role that involves transforming customer inquiries into comprehensive technical and commercial proposals. This includes the development of consulting projects, offering strategic guidance to clients, and spearheading business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with potential clients and current partners, alongside Ramboll's project management and tender teams, utilizing your commercial and technical knowledge to support new business initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass:
Leadership in Opportunity Management
Overseeing and managing biofuels consulting opportunities from inception to completion. Crafting project plans, timelines, and budgets for proposals aimed at securing new projects. Coordinating and supervising multi-disciplinary tender teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables. Preparing and presenting detailed reports and recommendations to clients.Technical Advisory and Expertise
Offering expert insights on biofuels technologies, including production methods, feedstock selection, and sustainability practices. Evaluating market trends, policy shifts, and regulatory changes impacting the bioenergy sector. Conducting feasibility assessments, economic evaluations, and risk analyses for biofuels initiatives.Client Relationship Management
Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with clients, understanding their requirements, and delivering customized solutions. Identifying and pursuing new business prospects within the biofuels industry. Assisting clients in navigating regulatory landscapes and obtaining necessary approvals.Business Development Initiatives
Formulating and executing strategies to expand the biofuels consulting practice. Engaging in marketing and promotional efforts, including conferences, webinars, and publications. Identifying key clients and projects to advance in line with the business development strategy.Team Leadership and Development
Mentoring and training junior consultants and business development managers. Promoting a collaborative and innovative work atmosphere. Keeping abreast of industry advancements and integrating new insights into the team's capabilities.About You

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline. Significant experience in the biofuels sector, with a proven record in technology, consulting, or project management roles. Comprehensive knowledge of biofuels production technologies, feedstock logistics, lifecycle analysis, and sustainability standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in economic modeling and data analysis. Excellent communication abilities, capable of conveying complex technical information to non-technical audiences. Leadership aspirations and team management capabilities, with a focus on mentoring and developing junior staff. A solid understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and regulatory frameworks in the biofuels sector.Preferred Qualifications
Professional certifications related to renewable energy or biofuels. Experience with international biofuels markets and policies. Proficiency in additional languages.Note
