About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our Bioenergy and Power Generation team at Ramboll. As a key member of our team, you will play a leading role in translating customer enquiries into high-quality technical and commercial proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage consulting opportunities from identification to booking, developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with new prospects and existing clients, applying commercial and technical expertise to support account new business initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice on technologies, power plants, and sustainability practices, analysing market trends, policy developments, and regulatory changes affecting the power and bioenergy industry.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, economic analyses, and risk assessments, identifying key clients and projects to develop those following the Business Development strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the sector.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the biofuels consulting practice, participating in marketing and promotional activities, including conferences, webinars, and publications.
  • Mentor and train junior consultants, junior BD managers, and other team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in power generation and bioenergy, who can bring a deep understanding of the industry and its trends. You will have a proven track record in technology, consulting, or project management roles, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Power or Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Measurable experience in the power generation and bioenergy industry, with a proven track record in technology, consulting, or project management roles.
  • Good knowledge of power generation and bioenergy/biofuel technologies, lifecycle analysis, and sustainability standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in economic modelling and data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
