**Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement scalable Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) systems, including processes for supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and risk management.
  • Select, qualify, and audit suppliers for mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues using tools like 8D, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review vendor Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and inspection plans, and assess first article inspection (FAI) reports to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Approve supplier process and tooling changes, establish process capability at the supplier, and drive process optimization.
  • Align quality expectations with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, integrating supplier quality into product development.
  • Track supplier performance metrics and lead improvement initiatives to achieve quality goals.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with industry standards and certifications, aligning with regulatory and company requirements.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality / Quality Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Materials Engineering degree or similar.
  • Strong understanding of Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) processes, quality management systems, and tools like PPAP, FAI, FMEA, and AVL management.
  • Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with domestic and international suppliers, leading joint investigations and implementing supplier improvement plans.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, focusing on excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with quality frameworks and tools for resolving complex technical issues, such as Six Sigma, 8D, Ishikawa diagrams, SPC, and 5 Whys.
  • Proven experience in analyzing engineering data, creating models, and leveraging statistical tools to identify root causes.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% to collaborate with suppliers and support quality initiatives.
