About the role

This position will provide technical support to Global Account Managers in the GPA team, creating proposals for fire and gas detection systems worldwide. The main responsibility is to develop proposals for global projects linked to end users and EPCs.

The position will actively contribute to improving proposal operations in the GPA team. The role will provide extended support to sales resources working on securing new orders. Global support to other regions can be expected from time to time.

Close cooperation with Director and Account Managers is required, as well as other global bid resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed reviews of RFQ and enquiry documentation.
  • Prepare and write technical and commercial proposals in response to customer enquiries.
  • Develop designs and technical specifications for engineered fire and gas systems meeting customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external support to provide inputs into proposals.
  • Liaise with the sales team, commercial and legal contracts staff throughout the proposal process to ensure coherence and risk understanding.
  • Assist Account Managers and customers with technical queries.
  • Receive and process proposal requests in close cooperation with Account Managers.
  • Actively contribute to developing and exercising processes for more effective proposals.
  • Follow up and participate in clarifications with customers during the bidding phase. Participate in Bid Clarification Meetings (BCM) as needed.
  • Actively use Salesforce (SFDC) to maintain and update activities related to proposals.
  • Supply documentation to customers (standard doc and issuance of order-specific documentation/declarations) for non-related projects POs.
  • Participate in handovers from Sales to Project upon receiving PO according to sales routine.
  • Provide pre-sales support to customers and sales teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical certification in a relevant discipline. Prior experience can compensate for lack of formal degree.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in similar roles.
  • Experience with designing technical specifications and creating technical proposals.
  • Demonstrated experience with global EPC bidding processes will be considered beneficial.
  • Proven organizational skills with demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers worldwide.
  • Forward-thinking individual who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Disposition to learn and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both internally and with customers, with ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Work prioritization, ability to prioritize work and use own initiative for task completion.
  • Experience with Autronica and Det-Tronics products and system integration practices or related industry.
  • Self-motivated with ability to follow up on issues and progress to meet leadership expectations.
  • Experience working cooperatively and respectfully on multicultural/cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel, including on short notice (although not often required).

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
