Global Systems Proposal Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Global Systems Proposal Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing sales and technical support to our Global Account Managers in the Global Projects & Accounts (GPA) team.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform detailed reviews of RFQ and enquiry documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and write technical and commercial proposals in response to enquiries from customers, highlighting the benefits of our fire and gas detection systems.
- Develop designs and technical specifications for engineered fire and gas systems that meet customer requirements and specifications.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to provide inputs into proposals and ensure seamless communication throughout the process.
- Liaise with the sales team, commercial and legal contracts staff to ensure proposals are coherent and risk is understood.
- Assist Account Managers and customers with technical queries and provide expert guidance on our products and systems.
- Receive and process proposals requests, working closely with Account Managers to ensure timely completion.
- Contribute to the development and exercise of processes for more effective proposal operations.
- Participate in Bid Clarification Meetings (BCM) as needed and follow up with customers to clarify any outstanding issues.
- Maintain and update activities related to proposals using Salesforce (SFDC).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical certification in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of two years' experience in similar roles, with prior experience compensating for lack of formal degree.
- Experience with designing technical specifications and creating technical proposals.
- Demonstrated experience with global EPC bidding processes, which will be considered a benefit.
- Proven organizational skills with ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
- Ability to travel, including on short notice.
