About the Role


This position supports the Global Account Managers in the Global Projects & Accounts (GPA) team by providing sales and technical support for global projects and accounts. The main responsibility will be to work on proposals for fire and gas detection systems worldwide.


The position will actively contribute to the development and exercise of processes for more effective proposal operations in the GPA team. It will provide extended support to the sales resources actively working on securing new orders, with global support to other regions possible from time to time.


Closely collaborating with the Director and Account Managers, as well as other global bid resources, is expected.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed reviews of RFQ and enquiry documentation.
  • Prepare and write technical and commercial proposals in response to enquiries from customers.
  • Prepare designs and technical specifications for engineered fire and gas systems that meet customer specifications and requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external support to provide inputs into proposals.
  • Liaise with the sales team, commercial and legal contracts staff throughout the proposals process to ensure proposals are coherent and risk is understood throughout the business as the proposal nears successful completion.
  • Assist Account Managers and customers with technical queries.
  • Receive and process proposals requests, in close cooperation with Account Managers.
  • Actively contribute to developing and exercising processes for more effective proposals.
  • Follow-up and participate in clarifications towards customers with Account Managers during the bidding phase. Participate in Bid Clarification Meetings (BCM) as needed.
  • Actively use Salesforce (SFDC) to maintain and keep up-to-date activities related to proposals.
  • Supply documentation to customers (standard doc and issuance of order-specific documentation/declarations) for non-related projects PO's.
  • According to our sales routine, participate in handovers from Sales to Project upon receiving PO.
  • Provide pre-sales support to customers and sales teams.
