We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in India.

About Statkraft

Statkraft is a leading company in hydropower internationally and Europe's largest generator of renewable energy. We have 5300 employees in 21 countries and a strong presence in the Indian market.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development activities in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on M&A transactions across solar, wind, hydro sectors, as well as emerging areas like storage & green hydrogen.

This role requires extensive working knowledge of MS Office applications, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and contribute in a team.

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree such as MBA from a leading Indian or global institution, CFA or CA, and 2-8 years of professional experience in investment banking, M&A focused consulting, corporate M&A teams with focus on Indian renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out business development activities in renewable power with focus on M&A
  • Evaluating a variety of investment opportunities in the Indian renewable energy sector
  • Assisting in building, reviewing and updating detailed financial models, considering industry and project-based assumptions, performing cash flow, profitability & valuation analysis including DCF
  • Leading and coordinating due diligence process and reviewing the diligence reports to ensure that the key diligence findings are addressed appropriately in risks/return
  • Assisting in engaging advisors and carrying out third-party due diligence (finance / tax, market, technical, legal, accounting, land, regulatory, environmental, etc)
  • Preparing investment notes & presentations for internal committees / senior management
Qualifications
  • Postgraduate degree such as MBA from a leading Indian or global institution or CFA or CA
  • 2 to 8 years of professional experience in investment banking, M&A focused consulting, corporate M&A teams with focus on Indian renewable energy sector
  • Extensive working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Experience of operating and navigating in a multi-cultural and multi-country environment
  • Result-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, highly motivated, ability to work independently and contribute in a team
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders (internal & external) independently on assumptions, approach, clarifications and expected output
  • Ability to influence subject matter experts across a wide range of issues relating to energy markets in general and specific projects
  • Strong oral & written communication skills with ability to present results clearly
  • High integrity and committed to enhance company's overall success
  • Open to and comfortable with constantly evolving and changing priorities and new challenges
  • Willing to travel, flexible and dynamic

Estimated salary: ₹80 lakhs - ₹1.5 crores per annum depending on experience.
