Senior Hydrogen Safety Researcher

DNV is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydrogen Safety Researcher to join our Research and Development unit. As a key member of our Low Carbon Technology group, you will play a crucial role in building knowledge around hydrogen value chains from production to end-use.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct risk assessments and techno-economic analyses of hydrogen and hydrogen-derived fuels
- Develop novel approaches for risk assessments and explore new technologies
- Support the digital development of DNV's risk assessment services
- Engage with clients to understand industry needs and prototype solutions
- Build international networks and collaborate with top academic personnel
- Participate in public-funded research projects and contribute to the development of our energy systems business area
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemical, Numerical, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or related discipline)
- 5-10 years of experience in industry or academia, with a strong background in Technical Safety and/or risk analysis techniques
- Digital skills and interest in applying them to enhance value and efficiency of services
- Knowledge of the Energy business and/or green technologies (Hydrogen, synthetic fuels, carbon capture and storage, ...) is an advantage
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English
- Positive and visionary individual with a passion for exploring environment-friendly solutions
- Result-oriented and creative, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Open to transition into our energy systems business area in the longer run to apply research and innovation results more directly with customers
