Strategic Business Development and Growth Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven individual to join our team as a Strategic Business Development and Growth Manager. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in driving business growth and development across various regions.
About the RoleIn this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic business plans to achieve or exceed bookings targets globally. You will work closely with our sales organization, country sales teams, and customers to identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop industry-specific growth plans to achieve budgets and goals, ensuring coordination with local sales organizations and regional initiatives;
- Analyze business trends, including bookings, market participation, run rates, quote conversion rates, etc., and propose corrective strategies where applicable;
- Understand customer and market dynamics, analyzing oil & gas industry needs and trends, identifying application opportunities, and relevant solutions;
- Observe competitive activities, feeding back competitor information to management for incorporation into competitive profiles and strategic planning;
- Provide input to Marketing, Engineering, and Sales regarding customer needs for New Product Development, Service, or Training offerings;
- Enhance sales effectiveness in the industry through sharing knowledge and success stories, developing effective sales tools, and improving communications across project/account teams;
- Maintain overviews of industry target clusters, mining data to define growth opportunities;
- Participate actively in project pursuits from pre-conceptual through bidding and execution phases;
- Prepare and deliver system functional design specifications to customers and engineering contractors;
- Present the customer benefits and differentiation message of products and solutions to customers at all levels in assigned industries;
- Support account leaders in growing the corrosion business, including developing end-user preferences and technology acceptance, and collaborating with worldwide internal teams, end-user customer teams, engineering contractors, and third-party technology providers for identified applications;
- Provide industry and application expertise to the sales channel and customers;
- Deliver product and application training to customers (internal and external) as required;
- Assess customer requirements and problems, suggesting appropriate solutions;
- Work with the Project Management Office to ensure consistent project execution;
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A technical bachelor's degree and at least 7 years' experience in Sales, Service, or Marketing from chemical, renewable, or oil & gas industries;
- An understanding of Digital Transformation strategies and work practices, including underlying technology enablers like Wireless, Cybersecurity, Industrial Integration, and protocols and historians;
- The ability to work in a matrix organization with strong influencing skills;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Proficient English language skills; verbal, reading, and writing;
- Extensive experience in project pursuit processes from a sales and technical perspective;
This position offers an attractive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical care, retirement savings, and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
