Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our Oslo-based field service team. As a key member of our department, you will provide global support for our products and services, including field travel, email support, and round-the-clock duty phone. Your expertise will be essential in manufacturing and testing GNSS systems for offshore installations and supporting the commissioning of marine electronics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer support cases with professionalism and efficiency
  • Participate in duty rotation, ensuring seamless support coverage
  • Manufacture and test GNSS equipment for offshore installations, adhering to strict quality standards
  • Travel to marine sites for service and installation of GNSS equipment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Support and promote a culture of teamwork, environmental responsibility, and safety within Fugro

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or technical college-level qualification
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Norwegian

Desirable Skills

  • Independent, structured, and self-driven approach to work
  • Understanding of electronics and computer technology
  • Experience in vessel installation and commissioning of marine electronics
  • Professional approach and effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems or offshore experience
