About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Account Manager to join our team at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd. As a Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction by providing technical support before, during, and after delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide overall technical responsibility for the Tjeldbergodden site, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  2. Customer Support: Serve as the lead point of contact for all technical issues, working closely with ServiceDesk to resolve customer queries and concerns.
  3. Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Technical Development: Assist in the technical development of the system, ensuring that it meets customer needs and objectives.
  5. Communication: Communicate customer technical needs and demands to ABB, ensuring that their requirements are met.
  6. Problem-Solving: Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed, working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
  7. Progress Reporting: Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Business Growth: Identify opportunities to grow business with existing clients, working closely with sales teams to develop new business opportunities.
  9. Resource Allocation: Assist in finding resources for projects and modifications, ensuring that customer needs are met.
  10. Test System Maintenance: Responsible for maintaining the Tjeldbergodden test system located at the ABB premises in Bergen.
  11. Account Team Membership: Member of the Account Team according to Automation Brownfield Sales matrix.
  12. Sales Support: Provide sales with technical input, ensuring that choices are optimal for the system and according to current evolution strategies.
  13. Quality Assurance: Perform technical QA in sales within service, operation, and modifications.
  14. Site Meetings: Responsible for regular site meetings, ensuring that customer needs are met.
  15. Plant Operations: Maintain overview and knowledge of the plant's operations technology, ensuring that customer needs are met.
  16. Plant Integrity: Contribute to maintaining plant integrity, uptime, and provide technology-specific input for optimal life cycle planning of the plant assets.
  17. Technical Support: Provide technical support and quality assurance in projects.
  18. Problem Resolution: Helping to resolve problems and follow up Service Desk Incidents and Field Alerts.
  19. ServIS and CMDB: Site responsible for ServIS and CMDB (Install base database).
  20. Cyber Security: Assist customer in planning of system patches and other Cyber Security operations.
  21. Simulator Maintenance: Responsible for Tjeldbergodden simulator and ensuring that the simulator is up to date.
Requirements
  1. Education: Master/Bachelor/Technician in Automation or relevant discipline.
  2. Industry Knowledge: Good knowledge of automation with background from the oil and gas industry.
  3. ABB Knowledge: Good knowledge of ABB's control system 800xA and Harmony.
  4. Site Standards: Good knowledge of site standards and regulations.
  5. Language Skills: Good writing and verbal fluency in Norwegian and English.
  6. Personal Skills: Independent, sociable, and cooperative.
  7. Teamwork: Enjoy working in a team, and at times in a hectic environment.
  8. Focus: Ability to work in a structured and targeted way with focus to reach good results.
  9. Professional Development: Ability and a desire for professional development.
