We are looking for a Public Policy Manager to spearhead our regulatory and policy initiatives within Norway (also covering Denmark and Iceland).
About usWith over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it's all thanks to our people. We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability. Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission
About the roleBolt is leading the charge in transforming urban mobility across the Nordics. This crucial role involves managing regulatory challenges, forging strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance to support Bolt's strategic objectives. Based in Oslo, the Public Policy Manager will play a pivotal role in navigating the regulatory landscape and influencing policy to facilitate Bolt's growth and operational success.
What you can expectMain tasks and responsibilities:
- Oversee Bolt's regulatory, compliance, and political communications strategies in Norway (also covering Denmark and Iceland), aligning them with Bolt's operational goals and urban mobility mission.
- Provide expert regulatory guidance and compliance oversight to Bolt's commercial teams, transforming complex legislation into actionable strategies for business growth.
- Build and maintain influential relationships with stakeholders such as regulators, political figures, and business partners to advocate for favorable policies and ensure compliance.
- Manage Bolt's licensing requirements through regular compliance audits and the acquisition of new licenses to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborate with Bolt's commercial and product teams to create and implement strategic plans that address the unique challenges and opportunities in the Nordic markets.
- Direct Bolt's public relations efforts, managing media inquiries and corporate communications to maintain a positive public image and align with corporate objectives.
About you:
- Bring at least 5 years of experience in legal, compliance, public policy, or regulatory roles, particularly focusing on the Norwegian market and ideally with exposure to other Nordic markets.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of Norway's regulatory and licensing landscape, especially in mobility and transport services.
- Show a proven track record in developing and executing public policy strategies and managing corporate communications within a regulatory environment.
- Possess excellent communication skills, able to clearly and persuasively articulate complex regulatory issues to diverse audiences; fluency in English and proficiency in other local languages highly regarded.
- Maintain strong relationships with governmental and regulatory bodies, securing cooperation and advocacy for organizational objectives.
- Exhibit high organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively; hold at least a bachelor's degree in law, public policy, political science, or related fields, with advanced studies preferred.
- Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don't tick every box, please consider applying
We are Bolt's advocates. We work locally and nationally to obtain and defend Bolt's operating permissions. More than just a licensing team, we work with regulators, civil servants, and politicians from across the political spectrum to ensure that legislation, regulation, and administration strike the right balance: safety and innovation, consumer protection, and enabling enterprise.
Apply now and join us to make cities for people, not cars.#J-18808-Ljbffr
