Doctors Without Borders is looking for a Project Coordinator for National Travel Team
Doctors Without Borders saves lives where the needs are greatest. In over 70 countries we provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Fundraising is an important activity for us, since we do not seek government funding and financial support from private individuals is crucial.
Through our fundraising activities, we aim to meet the Norwegian public face to face, provide them with information on how we operate, and an opportunity to support the work we do in the field.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled coordinator to take responsibility for the face-to-face fundraising activities around the country. Our goal is to recruit as many new regular donors as possible since funds from private donors ensure our neutrality and independence, enabling us to act swiftly in times of disaster.
This is a 100% permanent position, starting from June 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and lead fundraising activities around the country
- Lead and have personnel responsibility for a team of fundraisers (8-10 FTEs), including recruitment, training, follow-up, and evaluation
- Reporting, budget monitoring, and result responsibility for the project
- Geographical responsibility for activities, logistics, and transport
- The position involves extensive travel with overnight stays in Norway, approximately 50 travel days
Qualifications:
- Some experience in fundraising/sales, personnel and project management, including administration and reporting
- Higher relevant education, preferably in sales/business administration, management and/or HR
- Experience in fundraising with Doctors Without Borders, or similar organizations is an advantage
Personal qualities:
- Structured, quality-focused, and results-oriented
- Independent, goal-oriented, and proactive
- Good communication skills
- Inspirational and leads by example
- Flexible and solution oriented
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office
- High proficiency in English (level C1), Norwegian is an advantage
We offer:
- 100% permanent position from June 2, 2025, based out of Oslo
- Conditions based on our salary policy level 16: 652 678 - 717 486 NOK annually (54 390 - 59 791 NOK per month)
- Pension and insurance schemes, IA company
- Opportunity to work flexible hours
- A positive, engaged, and international working environment
- A challenging and educational job in the world's largest medical humanitarian emergency organization
At Doctors Without Borders, we value diversity and strive for an inclusive and accommodating work environment. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply for a job with us, regardless of ethnic, national, or cultural background, age, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, disability, or other identity aspects.
