EMEA Wholesale Territory Lead

Our Opportunity at Arc'teryx:
The successful Area Manager, Wholesale – EMEA will lead the charge to deliver all wholesale revenue in their designated area, on target to meet sales objectives, while elevating the Arc’teryx experience for all guests shopping in our partner’s doors. They will be responsible for building and maintaining strong partnerships with regional teams, HQ stakeholders, and leadership of our sales team.
Meet Your Future Team:
The EMEA Commercial team is accountable for delivering sales through all regional channels. We meet the guest where they are shopping and ensure Arc’teryx is represented consistently and at its best. As the retail landscape changes, we work together to evolve our approach with creativity and teamwork, ultimately resulting in a seamless Arc’teryx experience in store that culminates with near-perfect, full-price sell-through.
The position is based in Oslo and requires 40% travel across Nordics and the UK. Candidates must be eligible to work in Norway.
If you were the Area Manager, Wholesale – EMEA now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Leading a team of Sales Reps and/or agents across Nordics and The United Kingdom countries with vision, clarity, and optimism while driving results
- Developing internal team members with clear Personal Evolution Plans that celebrate their strengths and help them develop areas of opportunity
- Executing the vision and plan for success in EMEA for the B2B channel using tools and capabilities to analyze against the plan
- Managing business performance in real-time to deliver profitably and executing strategy and budget to achieve goals
- Developing a deep understanding of each region, market, and city in your area to fine-tune strategies and achieve local market maturity and nuances
- Driving accountability to the plan within your team and cross-functionally to regional and HQ teams
- Adapting to real-time challenges by building clear and achievable mitigation plans, enrolling leadership in your strategy, and leading your team to action with flexibility and impact
- Establishing senior-level relationships with key accounts to elevate their knowledge of who we are, where we're going, and how we'll get there together
- Collaborating with internal cross-functional stakeholders to deliver the collection and bring the brand vision to life in our partners' doors
- Aligning with EMEA channel counterparts in your area to ensure consistency across the region
- Implementing new business models for representing Arc’teryx to our guests at wholesale partners – evolving branded space approaches or out-of-the-box concepts
- Rolling out the Mountain Town strategy with suitable wholesale partners
- Negotiating terms and business models to improve profitability
- Connecting internal Arc’teryx teams to key partner stakeholders to ensure the Arc’teryx vision comes to life fully
- Has 7+ years’ experience in key account and national sales management in a consumer goods industry
- Has a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Can build and lead high-performing professionals
- Is familiar with the Arc’teryx brand, product, and consumer
- Understands premium outdoor, fashion, and lifestyle industries, including retail trends and innovations
- Has excellent organizational skills, analytical ability, and strategic planning record
- Communicates effectively, writes clearly, and has attention to detail and discipline
- Cultivates a clear vision, aligns team around common objectives, and fosters commitment
- Is proactive in identifying issues and developing solutions, remains flexible and adaptable, and balances autonomy and collaboration
