About the Role

ESP Global Services is seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Norway, Oslo. As a key member of our European-wide delivery team, you will provide expert IT support to our partner, a global healthcare leader.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to incidents and service requests from customers and resolving them efficiently.
  • Ticket handling based on client requirements and providing timely updates.
  • Providing desk-side support services to customers, including installing, troubleshooting, and setting up desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripheral hardware issues.
  • Basic administration of Windows O/S and providing IT infrastructure support that includes hardware, software, operating system troubleshooting, and troubleshooting without affecting hardware warranty breaches or as per customer's security requirements.
  • Following installation instructions when installing and troubleshooting computer applications.
  • Providing 'Smart Hand' support for peripheral and network hardware, including but not limited to monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, routers, scanners, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets, and multi-port data termination panels all under the 'Smart Hands' capability supported by the company and from available technology remotely.
  • Working with corporate LAN and setting up with the WAN concept.
  • This role implies working Monday till Friday in Oslo from 8am to 5pm (1h - lunch inclusive).
Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 2+ years' experience providing IT Infrastructure field support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system issues.
  • Skilled in desk-side support and PC break/fix, including being comfortable with Windows O/S.
  • Command of the Norwegian and English languages, evaluated during the selection procedure.
  • Ability to work in a team or independently.
  • Good knowledge of and experience with Microsoft desktop software.
  • Knowledge of wireless networking.
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networks, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP.
