Key Responsibilities- Conduct research on hybrid modelling and machine learning techniques for subsurface pressure prediction
- Develop and implement innovative solutions for pore pressure prediction workflows
- Collaborate with other researchers within the project to achieve research goals
- Contribute to the development of a PhD training programme
- Master's degree in mathematics, computer science, physics, or geology
- Strong academic background and average grade of B or better
- Previous experience in machine learning and programming skills in Python
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Machine learning experience and practical skills
- Mathematical proficiency in partial differential equations and numerical methods
- Programming skills in C++
- Strong written and oral English communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and in cross-disciplinary teams
- Ability to interact and collaborate with actors in academia, public sector, and industry
- Self-motivated, focused, and goal-oriented

As a PhD candidate, you will be paid from gross NOK 532,200 per annum before tax, depending on qualifications and seniority. The period of employment is 3 years.
