Oversee Global Fundraising for Norwegian Refugee Council
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a seasoned fundraising expert to spearhead the growth of our global fundraising portfolio. As the Global Fundraising Director, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team to develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan, driving the expansion of our individual donor base, and cultivating partnerships that support our mission to assist refugees worldwide.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in scalable business models, data-driven decision-making, and cross-cultural leadership to drive significant impact. You will be accountable for setting and achieving ambitious fundraising targets, managing budgets, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global fundraising strategy, aligning with NRC's overall mission and objectives.
- Lead a high-performing team of fundraising professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure exceptional performance.
- Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, leveraging your network and expertise to drive growth and diversification of our income streams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of fundraising efforts, driving maximum impact and efficiency.
- Monitor and report on fundraising performance, using data to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the non-profit fundraising landscape, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure NRC remains at the forefront of innovative fundraising strategies.
About You
- Demonstrated expertise in fundraising, preferably in a non-profit or commercial setting, with a proven track record of achieving significant fundraising goals.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans, leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and team members.
- Financial acumen, with experience in budget management and forecasting.
What We Offer
- Duty station: Oslo, Norway or any NRC office in Europe.
- Contract: Permanent
- Travel: 10%
- Salary/benefits: Grade 12 on NRC's Head Office salary scale or any NRC office in Europe where the successful candidate is located.
