Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nordic Power Markets Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy commodity trading and excellent knowledge of the Nordic power market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing EEX's position in the Nordic power markets, working closely with customers, industry partners, and regulators. This key role requires individuals of excellent calibre who are ready to take on the challenge of further developing EEX's Nordic power business and increasing the overall size of the Nordic power market.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with customers, industry partners, and regulators to further develop EEX's Nordic power business and increase the overall size of the Nordic power market.
- Represent EEX at conferences and industry events in the region.
- Assess market trends, identify growth opportunities in the region, and stay up-to-date with regulatory developments in the Nordic energy market.
- Develop innovative products and solutions and coordinate their successful market launch.
- Encourage an exchange mindset by valuing the exchange of ideas and supporting team members.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- The drive to take ownership and develop a market.
- Strong knowledge of energy commodity trading.
- Excellent contacts in the energy trading community, especially in Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
- Proven professional experience, ideally in an exchange, broker, clearing house, bank, commodity trading house, utility trading desk, or origination environment.
- Ideally with a background in the development of exchange-traded products.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Fluency in Norwegian or Swedish.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and to deadlines.
- A good personality who can contribute positively to a good team spirit.
