Purpose of the position
To drive sales performance through development of strategic partnerships with carefully identified salons and stylists, continually identifying opportunities to maximize profitable sales and distribution of products enhancing the profile and image of the Kao product portfolio and source and develop new select customers representing the Kao brands including Goldwell, KMS, Oribe, Varis.
Position can also be located outside of the Oslo region but within driving distance.
Education, Professional Experience and Other Requirements
Education
- Ideally studied business/sales management at college to graduate-post graduate level - diploma (2 years).
Professional Experience
- Min 2 years of experience working in Sales Divisions with a track record of identifiable successes in same/similar industry sectors i.e. beauty, luxury, and possibly fashion.
- Ideally knows how the haircare industry works and has useful contacts across the entire sector or has experience of sales functions in similar FMCG.
- Experience as a hairdresser is a plus and/or strong technical knowledge of colorants, treatments, and haircare products as well as the hair care industry is preferred.
Other Role Specific Requirements
- Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook as well as sales tools and systems e.g. Sales Force.
- Language proficiency: fluent in one of the Nordic languages (country specific) as well as English.
- Able to travel daily.
Key Responsibilities
Achievement of Sales Target and Distribution Performance Targets (80%)
- Achieve and exceed budget revenue sales targets and objectives for listed clients.
- Gain new salons and achieve the distribution targets by directly influencing key clients to buy products by ensuring that clients understand how to maximize their profitability through client loyalty regular purchases.
- Execute local market sales strategy, new product launches, and seasonal activities.
- Ensure sales and education strategies as well as promotions execution to ensure maximum impact.
- Able to manage with a reasonable degree of autonomy and implement a range of solutions and communication tools to ensure sales, education, and distribution targets are met.
- Develop Joint Business Plans with clients and prepare contracts of agreements.
- Agree sell-through plans with clients on sell-through activities and ensure in-salon training of the hairdressers.
- Ensure correct sales terms by client.
- Promote the Kao Web shop and educate customers in the use of the Kao Web shop.
Monthly Performance Evaluation (15%)
- Ensure all sales performance data is analyzed, and relevant action is taken and communicated where necessary to the sales manager, Salon, Sales, Oribe.
- Present monthly business results, visit reports, route plan to pursue gain and growth opportunities, etc. to the sales manager.
Administration (5%)
- Ensure that the Sales Force system is updated correctly.
- Ensure that the OKR process is followed, and that targets and measurements are completed in due time.
- Work with Workday and ensure correct recording of data.
- Comply with Company Policies and Procedures, as well as the Sales Handbook, the Personnel Handbook, etc.
