About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving commercial targets in their assigned territory by managing the dealer network and maximizing sales and profits for Mercury Marine brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Territory Analysis: Identify regional strengths and weaknesses, formulate plans to strengthen the dealer network, and develop dealers in brand profile, sales, marketing activities, organization, and financial development.
  • Dealer Network Management: Evaluate prospective new dealers, implement changes, manage dealer wholesale commitment, and drive improvements in retail performance through merchandising, local marketing, and CRM.
  • Relationship Management: Actively manage dealer relationships to drive increasing brand loyalty and sales, promote brands to new and prospective dealers, and influence the development of services/products that meet customer needs.
  • Market Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of the overall marine market, including market forces, consumer trends, product trends, growth trends, and regional national/differences to identify revenue growth opportunities.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues with dealers affecting retail performance, profitability, or customer satisfaction, and drive corrective actions with support from other Brunswick teams.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of field sales experience in a company with a dealer network structure.
  • Technical background and experience in mechanics and electronics are an advantage.
  • Strong area management, financial management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Norwegian native with good English language skills.
